You often write about tips and the benefits of using Chase Ultimate Rewards, but what do you do if you have a problem? I am sure readers would love to hear about this. I recently booked a 4 night stay at the Casa Lola Hotel in Cartagena using 125,000 UR. I booked the Master Suite which was beautifully pictured and described on Chase’s site when I booked. When given the room, I didn’t receive what was pictured, it was one room and the number of beds wouldn’t hold my family. They moved us to the correct room the next night after a fight. Then 2x during the trip, we lost power for 8+ hours each time, no management present to deal with it – no ac and no lights. When you call Chase Travel, you are just dealing with Expedia people who aren’t helpful at all. They say they will check with the hotel about a partial refund, which the hotel already denied me. Had I used my credit card, I would ask the issuer to dispute the charge, but don’t have that option. I can’t even find anyone at Chase to complain to. Any suggestions for me or your readers?

I love transferring them to Singapore Airlines for flights from NYC to Singapore or Maldives in business class…time it right and it’s a great value.

I currently have Ink Preferred and Sapphire Reserve, and combine the points. It’s mentioned in your article, “But if you also have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can combine your points to that account.” Can I do this between Sapphire Preferred and Ink Preferred, as well?

Chase Travel has lost its sparkle. They do not show the lowest prices flights anymore, so what good is a discount on a higher priced ticket than on Expedia, Orbitz, etc. They only use the Expedia search engine, they do not have the full inventory available though. Probably a cost cutting decision by Chase.
