I spend almost 4 hours yesterday afternoon, trying to first reserve 2 rooms for just one night and couldn’t. To begin with, it took multiple phone calls to finally talk to a person, and in the end, it was going to cost me more points than it would for a round trip ticket. So I charged it to my card. Then I tried to rent a car for our trip, to begin with, I tried to do it on line, but in the end, it kept telling me they don’t have a car for me for the date and the time I entered. I could not change the date because we have already bought our tickets, so I changed the time, and kept getting the same thing. I called multiple times to have an agent help me with it, and I was told I have to do it on line, I explained to her what was happening, and she agreed to help, and in the end, I was told that I didn’t have enough points. I had this card for 3 months, have charged everything we usually charge on a credit card on this card, used it for 2 trips, just charged 5 flights, down payment on our accommodation which amounted to a few thousand dollars, but was told I didn’t have enough points. I wasted almost 4 hours, on trying to do something very simple, was stressed and angry in the end, and was told I will have the points after we complete our trip. Everything was charged to my card immediately, and because we always pay our credit card in full, they will have our money in a few days, but we have to wait until after our trip to get the milage rewards.

Headline is just clickbait.

Nothing new in this article.

MMS’s content sure appears to have been in a downward spiral ever since Bow-Tie sold it a few years back.

We still have a couple of business class flights before then, I am holding off.

I was tempted to transfer miles from my husband’s account into mine and book it now for September. Before I did, I received an email from United stating they were offering for a limited time to transfer points to another account without the usual transfer fee, but there would still be a per mile fee.

What the hell?

Is there a fee to transfer from Chase Sapphire into United? I may do that instead.
